It was after this trip that Soon Park dreamed up a better way to camp. He designed a rooftop tent with the space of a softshell and the convenience of a hardshell. No stress, no fuss, just a go-anywhere, do-anything rooftop tent. He took his idea to Kickstarter hoping to raise $100,000 to make the original Skycamp happen. The campaign raised a jaw-dropping $2.3 million. Today, we’re a community of thousands of members across 40 countries.
