AMP Research is the leading provider of power-retractable running boards, making waves with its best-selling Power Steps. While providing sufficient assistance for most individuals, AMP Research has recently developed a beefier, lower-hanging iteration of its Power Step: introducing the Power Step XL from AMP Research!
These heavy-duty power steps retain the same overall design as AMP's conventional retractable running boards; however, the company has retrofitted a few improvements geared toward oversized and heavily lifted applications. To begin, the Power Step XL is AMP's lowest-hanging step yet, with the retractable running board dropping an additional 4 inches lower than the standard model! The surface is also 6 inches wide, making for a secure and stable step up into the cab.
Like the standard Power Steps, the Power Step XL is manufactured entirely from durable die-cast aluminum, ensuring maximum strength and minimum weight. All aluminum components are anodized and coated with a military-grade PTFE (Teflon), preventing surface corrosion. Due to the Power Step XL's rugged alloy construction, these steps can withstand a whopping 600 pounds, far heavier than most retractable and stationary running boards!
| ARB protection steps offer improved vehicle access and a reduction in stone chips caused by road debris. While they offer an excellent barrier against rock ledges, they are not considered a true rock slider that might be required for aggressive rock crawling.

Amp Research PowerStep Override Switch (W/O Controller) allows manual control of your PowerStep running boards. Switch between Retract, Automatic, or Deploy modes. Easy dashboard installation, compatible with newer PowerStep controllers (STA, STB, XTA). Controller not included.

PowerStep XL Running Boards automatically deploy when the door opens and will retract after a 3 second delay when the door closes.
 LOWEST DEPLOYED STEP
PowerStep XL Running Boards drop 4" lower than the other PowerStep boards, making them perfect for lifted trucks or vehicles with higher ground clearance. Also, most stationary running boards rest 1-2 inches below the body and are often too far from the ground for many passengers.
 EXCELLENT GROUND CLEARANCE
The PowerStep XL Running Boards tuck into the rock rail when retracted, providing excellent ground clearance and light rocker panel protection while driving, and the functionality of a perfectly placed step when deployed.
 WIDE STEP SURFACE
The board width is a massive 6 inches and perfect for any type of footwear.
 INTEGRATED LED LIGHTING
All PowerSteps Include two pair of LED lights to illuminate the running board and ground below to maximize safety when entering and exiting your vehicle. The lighting will activate when the steps deploy and will shut off when the steps are retracted!
 600 LB LOAD CAPACITY
From the brackets to the boards, each PowerStep XL Running Board features a 600 LB load capacity - that is twice the weight capacity as most other steps!

| PowerStep Override Switch allows you to TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR POWERSTEP™. Now you can manually control your AMP Research PowerStep™ with a temporary override switch. Whether deploying them to wash, or retracting them for off-roading, the switch gives you the flexibility you want in a PowerStep™. It allows you to manually raise or lower. Easily insert a toggle switch on the dash, and it is wired directly to PowerStep, PowerStep XL, PowewrStep Xtreme.
NOTE: Running Boards will return to Auto Operation in the next door cycle after 30 minutes.
