2017+ FORD RAPTOR PRERUNNER KIT

Baja Kits Long Travel Prerunner Suspension Kits excel in the dirt while retaining excellent on-road handling and comfort. These are a direct OEM swap and bolt-on kit for your Gen 2 Raptor. Engineered to be a complete upgraded suspension system, front kits use Trophy Truck grade uniball spherical bearings and high grade hardware on both the upper and lower arms for ultimate strength. Heavy duty, fabricated steel box construction arms handle the abuse. The arms have built in zerk fittings to allow lubrication. *Optional 3.0 inch bypass shock upgrade available that can be added at any time after the kit is installed.  
Our Camburg KINETIK Series billet upper control arms for the 2017-23 Gen2 & Gen3 Ford Raptors have been the benchmark in the industry and we’re the first to work with the 2019+ models with the FOX Live Valve electronic suspension. Countless hours were spent designing and refining these arms to the point where they met our high standards. CAD designing and machining gave us the ability to bring some new design elements and features to the table. We CNC machine these in-house from aerospace quality 6061 billet aluminum, then send them out to be bead blasted, Type II anodized gun metal gray and have our Camburg logo laser etched. Like our tubular arms we use a larger FK 1.25” uniball that has a PTFE liner for increased strength and mis-alignment for maximum useable wheel travel. Made in the USA these are far superior to the cheaper and smaller imports other companies use. Adapting the uniball to the spindle/knuckle is done using model specific spacers that match the factory taper precisely. These are machined from heat-treated stainless steel and are a one piece design for increased strength. No drilling or modifications are needed. The 1.25” uniball gives us the ability to run a larger and stronger 9/16” 12 point bolt with a low profile press-on uniball cap to resist the elements. Using larger and stronger FK 7/8” chromoly heim joints allows for additional camber and caster adjustment if needed. Using a heim joint also eliminates flexing/deflection under hard use and braking with zero binding when in use. Using AN/Mil-spec hardware we have a single pinch bolt and secondary jam nut to insure the heim is secure with the rigors of off-road use. For 2019+ models that have a position sensor incorporated into the FOX electronic suspension, we have stainless brackets that attach to our arms that the sensor linkage attaches to and we supply a drill template to drill two small holes in the existing mount for proper positioning. It’s a very simple process that anyone can do.

Upper Control Arm

Getting the correct alignment is no longer a problem. Not only do these arms provide for better wheel alignment settings, they have been designed to include increased clearance between the arm and strut at full droop. These arms deliver up to 3 degree of caster along with extra camber, allowing for the optimum alignment settings for a 2" lifted vehicle.

DESCRIPTION

New for 2020, we’ve updated our design to incorporate a billet aluminum cover for the top of the uniball to keep dirt and other contaminants from working their way into the uniball. This cap is a slight press-fit and uses an o-ring seal. When lifting your truck, the stock upper arms become the limiting factor and hold back your suspensions performance. Our Camburg upper arms address these issues and more.  Replacing the stock ball-joint with a larger 1.25 uni-ball bearing we’re able to gain wheel travel with a part that is considerably stronger and will last longer under extreme conditions. We build more caster and change the camber curve to correct geometry so the vehicle aligns correctly and improves driving characteristics and handling. Using the latest CAD/CAM engineering software we design these arms to the strictest standards using our FARO laser scan arm to model the OEM parts and frames. Manufactured in-house, we have the tubes CNC laser cut and bent, then are MIG welded in precision fixtures before sending out to be sandblasted and powder-coated. Our in-house CNC machine shop makes all the machined parts including the uniball mis-alignment spacers from heat-treated stainless steel. We pride ourselves in producing the best parts available under our own roof and control.

DESCRIPTION

For the ’17-18 Ford Raptors we offer our 1.25″ uniball upper arms that use polyurethane bushings. You’re able to use the factory offset wheels and tires. When running larger 37″ tires you want to use a zero offset wheel. These do NOT work on the 2019+ models that have a position sensor incorporated into the new FOX electronic suspension unless you have the damper interface module installed to disable. When lifting your truck, the stock upper arms become the limiting factor and hold back your suspensions performance. Our Camburg upper arms address these issues and more.  Replacing the stock ball-joint with a uni-ball bearing we’re able to gain wheel travel with a part that is considerably stronger and will last longer under extreme conditions. We build more caster and change the camber curve to correct geometry so the vehicle aligns correctly and improves driving characteristics and handling. We also maximize useable wheel travel by using a uniball that has more mis-alignment than the factory ball-joint.
